The City of Eau Claire is currently seeking qualified applicants for a Communications & Promotions Coordinator in the Economic Development Division of the Community Development Department. Duties include: coordinating Downtown Eau Claire, Inc. (DECI) special events such as Family Day in the Park, International Fall Festival, and Christmastime in the City; developing marketing and festival budgets; recruiting members, sponsors, and volunteers; maintaining the downtown website; publishing downtown communications; and more!
The ideal candidate is required to have a four-year degree, or two year degree and two years' experience, in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or similar field. 1-2 years of special event experience is preferred. The City is looking for someone who is extremely organized, a good communicator, detail-oriented, professional in all matters, a team player, capable of multitasking, and who has extensive computer skills.
